About the role

  • We deliver our software on Microsoft .Net (MVC and web api) and SQL Server, with some products utilising ReactJs.
  • We collaborate closely with other teams in the NSW Government to architect and implement the right solutions, applying lean problem-solving to deliver value within a complex ecosystem.

Role context and description
Government Technology Platforms (www.digital.nsw.gov.au/delivery/government-technology-platforms-gtp) provides whole-of-government digital solutions which align with the NSW Government’s strategy by improving service delivery, streamlining internal government practices, and reducing costs. It provides these benefits to its stakeholders including the people of NSW, businesses, and NSW government agencies.?

About the Project
OneGov maintains a platform that delivers a whole of government digital solution for licences and authorisations and that creates a connected and seamless regulatory experience for Individuals, businesses, regulators, and NSW Government. A number of digital projects are underway to support achieving DCS’ vision to be the world’s most customer centric government. It is our aim to deliver smarter, user orientated digital solutions, reducing red tape, enhancing business productivity and protecting NSW communities.


These projects will all support creating a single view of licences & business compliance requirements and aim to remove manual processes and products which will increase the productivity of customers and agencies, contributing significant economic benefits to NSW

To be successful in this position you will have:


  • Extensive experience working in a fully agile software development environment and have led and mentored team to a successful delivery as a tech lead
  • Expert knowledge of .NET 4.7+, ASP.NET MVC 5 / Core 3.1+
  • Expert knowledge of Html5, JS and CSS
  • Solid experience in micro-services, API and contract driven design and development
  • Solid experience with JIRA and GIT workflows
  • Good experience with DevOps, CI/CD using GitLab and Jenkins
  • Good knowledge of SQL Server
  • Any experience with cloud platforms desirable (AWS preferable)
  • Any experience with ReactJs, Kubernetes desirable
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet hard deadlines
  • Demonstrated experience working in collaborative, multi-disciplinary teams
  • Highly collaborative, can-do approach, within and outside the immediate teams


Hours of work

Standard hours – 35 per week flexible hours between 7am to 7pm Monday to Friday, with occasional out-of-hour work required during deployment and support periods.?


Salary Grade 9/10, with the base salary for this role starting at $116211 base plus superannuation
